Youth Action Committee
The Youth Action Committee (Youth Act) represents Human Rights Solidarity’s most forward-looking investment, recognising that young people living with the consequences of today’s political decisions are not only the future of human rights advocacy, but an essential part of its present. It rejects the idea that young people are passive recipients of support, instead recognising them as perceptive witnesses to injustice and capable agents of change, while developing awareness of human rights through its education and activism programmes.
This is delivered through the School of Governance, a weekly seminar series featuring Members of Parliament, senior civil society leaders, and international experts, as well as the ‘Unscreen Yourself’ project, which helps students understand how digital manipulation can undermine independent thought.
The initiative also creates documentary and photographic archives that preserve lived experiences, ensuring these stories remain visible across generations.
By fostering intergenerational leadership and belonging, Youth Act strengthens the long-term resilience, continuity, and impact of the organisation’s human rights mission.

Human Rights Solidarity is an organisation devoted to the activism and advocacy of Human Rights around the globe. HRS started off as an unincorporated organization in early 2020 and is aiming at being recognized and registered as a charitable incorporated organization in 2022.
We are independent. HRS is a self-organised and volunteer-led organisation. The only allegiance we have is to our foundational principles that are incorporated into our founding documents and the Solidarity Principles.
