Big Give: Community Project for Immigrant Women
Winter can be a joyful time for many, but for immigrant women facing language barriers, isolation, and unfamiliar traditions, it can also be one of the loneliest seasons. To address this, the Big Give: Community Project for Immigrant Women was created.
This project brings together women from diverse ethnic backgrounds across Greater London in a safe, warm, and welcoming environment. Here, they can learn English, share their stories, and participate in creative workshops that foster confidence, laughter, and new friendships.

Each week, participants engage in activities such as language classes, arts and crafts, drama, and storytelling, all designed to encourage self-expression and a sense of belonging. We also host winter gatherings where women can relax, connect, and enjoy moments of celebration together. Additionally, through small gifts and wellbeing packs, we spread a little extra warmth during the festive season.
Thanks to the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025, every donation made during the campaign week will be doubled. This means twice the impact, reaching more women, offering more sessions, and creating more opportunities for connection and growth.
Looking ahead, we aim to support over 100 women this winter, helping them feel less alone, more confident in their English, and more connected to their community.
With thanks to our funders:
