Educational Activities

Both the theory and the practice of human rights activism are alien concepts to many immigrant communities. We have organized online boot-camps on issues like Human Rights in Islam, Social Media Activism and how to prepare YouTube videos and podcasts for social media activism. On various occasions we gave short lectures teaching our grassroots on how to write a petition to an MP or a councillor, on how to report a social media post that advocates violence or other forms of hate crimes, and on how to make research on human rights issues. Volunteers of the Human Rights Solidarity were the direct beneficiaries of these educational activities, but what has been taught produced action that benefitted the general society also.
