Integration Support for Ex-Lawyers

We have been running a support program for immigrant lawyers who have been victims of human rights violations back in their countries. The regulations on integration of foreign lawyers into the profession in England and Wales is evolving and we organized several Q&A sessions to encourage ex-lawyers and ex-law-students from abroad to either take the necessary exams to be eligible to work as lawyers in the UK, or to pass through Graduate Diploma in Law – Legal Practice Course track to become accredited as lawyers in England and Wales. Reintegration of lawyers into the legal scene is a multifaceted benefit for the general society. Lawyers are bridge builders and integration facilitators for immigrant communities and by merit of their profession they are more sensitive to human rights issues.
